Social media statement
Social media offers us all an opportunity to connect, support and engage with each other.
I use social media on both a private and professional level, which means you may see my social media activity when you are online.
On a professional level I aim to use social media to share relevant content, thoughts and information that may be useful to my audience and support them in their day to day life.
My therapeutic relationship with individuals remains confidential at all times. I will never share client details or information about specific clients on social media. There may be times that you read one of my posts or blogs and feel that it has particular relevance to you, or you may have questions about content I have posted. If this happens, please do feel free to talk about it during our sessions.
Clients who follow my professional page should consider their own privacy. It is a public page and if you comment or like a post, this will be seen by others who visit my page.
I am not able to accept friend requests from clients on my personal social media accounts as I don’t want to blur the lines of our therapeutic relationship.
I will reply to messages sent directly to my social media profiles but will not engage in any therapy via messages. I can direct you to my website or provide my email address so that we can make contact away from social media.
Above all, our therapeutic relationship is always my priority. If anything arises from social media that you would like to talk about, please do feel free to bring it to our sessions.
